Sadly, I think you’re right, especially about unique effects of these things on daughters. I was in a therapy group last year, and every single woman in it had similar experiences. It makes me sad, and I’m not quite sure what the solution would be to the problem. I think sometimes the mothers are enabled by other family members, which contributes to it.
