Thank you for commenting and for sharing your experience with me — I feel sad for you about your daughter. I felt very conflicted about cutting off my mother because it seems so extreme, and we don’t get the chance to go back and spend more time with people when we’re older. I hope your daughter comes around, as it sounds like you have nothing but love and good intentions toward her. I am open to seeing and talking with my mom if, and only if, she makes serious changes in how she interacts with me. Bah, if only relationships of all kinds weren’t so complicated!
